BIO

I am YONI.

I am living in Germany. I'm mostly known for the time i was surviving for more then 5 years in Berlin from Busking. I lived by on my bass, busking & doing street shows.

At the age of 13 i started to get into music and listened to underground Metal & RnB.

One bright sunny day I told a friend about and idea using my bass guitar, he told me:

“You will never be good enough to make a living.”

My next birthday I got my first bass guitar and i fell in love with the instrument. I was the bass player for many bands in my life involved in the underground metal scene. I spent 7 years in a band called:

Dreadful Craving, we recorded 2 EP albums that never had the chance to see the light of day (Listen here: https://youtu.be/5jkN3yyWIPk)

After 7 years of doing shows the band unfortunately parted ways. But hope was not lost as i found my way to another band named Breorn. We were active for 2 years and released one album named “Existence” (Listen here: https://myspace.com/breorn)

It took me awhile to realise that i was not going to find what I was searching for where i was in my life, So I decided to take my french passport and begin my journey in another country.

I lived in London for 3 years until destiny took me to Paris.

I bought a small street amplifier that ran on a batteries and started freestyle jamming in Paris Shatle Park.

I didn’t even know what i was even doing or what to play let alone did i have any idea that it was going to be my job for the next 3 years! After every session I received positive feedback and money from people. Someone even made a video of my first ever busking experience (Watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1MLqX5yxFM)

After a long search i decided Germany was next on my destination list, specifically Berlin.

Though it wasn’t an easy journey. My money and savings were running low and i couldn’t find a flat. I was at a loss for what to do.

But then a miracle happened, a friend of mine sent me a message and invited me to meet him in a new building specifically for artists. I was very curious and excited by this community, it was exclusively artists from around the world. It’s called

Green Househttp://greenhouse-berlin.de/

I asked if they had a room available for me and they asked me the first question that changed my perspective on life.

Are you an artist?

I remember replying: “I’m a bass-player, is that an artist?

“Yes.” They replied.

From that moment i realised I can compose and make music without a band, just me and my bass guitar.

I was living in Green House for 3 wonderful years where i grew and developed. I became more confident as an artist. I had the chance to meet artists from all over the world that inspired me in many ways to work on my own music.

Although my financial situation was still not so good, i didn’t have luck with finding a job but i still had my small amplifier with me.

I remembered the time i was playing in the park in Paris and how people were happy to donate and offer positive feedback so

I decided to push myself to the limit to see how far i could really reach.

I decided to go out into Berlin everyday and play to the public. All summer long, through the winer in minus-14 degree snow. I was doing street shows surviving only from busking.

Playing my 20 minute song named “Colors” composed with the 2 hand tapping technique.

I even got invited to play in Events, Exhibitions, Museums, Clubs & Art Gallery Festivals. I even had schools approaching me asking me to perform.

One day while I was living in GreenHouse, a new guy moved in to one of the rooms, he was a drummer named: Ignacio. There was immediately a musical connection between us and we started to play shows together.

Every-time we were playing in the streets of Berlin people would immediately gather around us, give us positive feedback and support us with donations by purchasing our Street Demo CD.

After 2 years of everyday busking together, surviving together and doing street concerts all over Berlin I felt that people wanted to see more from me.

Therefore I have decided to work on an official album that will represent me as a musician

In 2018  after a lot of hard work, I finally released my first single, "The Flow of Emotions"

from my upcoming album "Positivity in Silence"  The track was published on

Bass the World: https://youtu.be/vvFF243qGOw?si=xOgwdBrfdiQL_13Q

a YouTube channel for the worldwide bass player community.

As a result, I caught the attention of Technical Music:

Metal News websites that reviewed my single "The Flow of Emotions"  and as an effect from that,

I caught the attention of

MGBassGuitars: https://mgbassguitars.com/

This incredible opportunity gave me the motivation to push forward and

to manifest and bring to life the album "Positivity in Silence"
